Woodmont Metro Signup (No PPSK)

RG Nets is currently offline, as such the PPSK network is not working. To circumvent this we are reverting back to a traditional router configuration.

When a customer signs up for Woodmont, we will need to change the configuration on the AP to broadcast a unique SSID.

To do so, log into Omada and look up the AP under devices on the left side menu. You will then click the unit to open the AP settings and navigate to the "Config menu."

Scroll down to the WLAN settings and check the current settings. Most of the will be set to default. You will need to select the corresponding WLAN group to set the unique SSID.

Once completed, you will need to update the password for the new customer. If the SSID is not there, scroll down to after this next step.

You will need to navigate to the wlan menu by going to the settings then the wireless networks under the 99-new-st organization. Then you will select the WLAN group you want to edit.

Once selected the menu will show you all the networks available to this WLAN group.

Select the blue pen and paper icon to edit the networks. Here you will see the security key. Change the key and select apply. Do this for both the 5g and 2g.

At this point you will be able to reach out to the customer to have them test the network.

If the WLAN group is not there for an AP, you can create one. You will need to navigate to the wlan menu by going to the settings then the wireless networks under the 99-new-st organization. When you open the options to select a WLAN Group you will see "Create New Group" Select that option.

With that option selected, make sure use the building-unit format (99-102/55-301). Make sure "Copy All SSIDs from the WLAN Group" has a checkmark and "Default" is selected. Click Save.

Use the instruction above on how to select the new WLAN Group. Once inside, select "Create New Wireless Network."

You will set up the 2G and 5G separately. Create the user password for the customer, or use what the customer requested. Make sure the VLAN is set per the unit and select apply. Repeat this for the 5g.

Once both have been setup, you can use the instructions in the beginning to apply the new wireless group to the AP.
